A Walking Contradiction

She's a walking contradiction,
Yet she doesn't really know it,
Nothing seems to matter anymore,
And you wish that you could change it,
But nothing would ever change her,
She's a walking contradiction,
And doesn't know it yet.

You say that it's good,
That nothing bad will happen,
Just because, it hasn't happened yet,
I think it's sad that you believe it,
You think that it's all true,
She's a walking contradiction,
I thought you knew?

Well know your heart is broken,
And you're crying all alone,
Guess your heart won't be your
home now that she's gone,
So now you're wishing that
you listened,
To those complex contradictions,
Then you wouldn't be as listless
and on your own.
Just in case you missed it,
She's a walking contradiction,
Now you know.

Passing Time

And just the memories of that
Time is enough,
For now,
Because they spark something
Completely different,
Something I thought could never be,
Because it's just the start of
A dream,
A dream that I'll keep so close
I won't ever let it go,
And I promise I won't ever forget,
How important this has now become,
To me, to you, to the future,
Because when I close my eyes,
I shut them tight,
I can smell the trees and river,
I can feel the sunshine on my face,
And I can't stop myself smiling,
Because this makes me happy,
Just the thought of it for now,
I can imagine us years from now,
We both know it's the truth,
Because we won't let it go,
Just keep working for this,
For us and a dream,
I feel your arms around me,
This is just us,
Like a dream,
In our Savannah.
Until then, let's pass the time.
