Fallen.

And there she stood,
Among the rubble and the ashes,
Still standing, somehow.
The rain began to fall,
Cold contrast to the fire
Burning slowly before her,
And as her eyes searched for a sign,
She knew that he was lost.
The tears burned her eyes
And rolled down one by one
Down her stricken face
As her loss became apparent
Her world lost all it's colour
Drained from all it's glory
And disbelief overcame her,
That he would never be there again,
That feeling of slipping into darkness,
Because she knew her angel had fallen.

Monday, Monday...

Well today was interesting...
Monday as usual was pretty boring!
I made brownies with my best friend Nicole, in home EC today!
They were lovely i must admit!!
I went to art instead of most of classes today as per usual!! :)
Art portfolio prep classes begin tomorrow with my good friend Chloe and so does the training for the Peer 4 Peer programme! Not too shabby!
I'll be posting a piece I wrote last night, soon, inspired by a book I'm reading at the moment. They both share the same name; Fallen, so looking forward to that later!
I mite even add a video or link to something interesting if there's enough time, I have drum lessons tonight so that puts a small spanner in the works!
Until later, happy reading, Kate.

Scale 3 - Our Schools Got Talent 2010

Remembering Sunday by All Time Low (w/ lyrics)

Remembering Sunday...

Well it's Sunday so i thought a little blog wouldn't be so bad!
I've just realised how busy I'll be in the upcoming week! (I should really plan ahead more)
Drama started on Saturday and it was funny and nice to be back with the crowd again! Auditions for a small production will be coming up soon which should be fun!
I've decided I'll be making more artwork, crafts and jewellery to sell in a lovely shop in my home town, more to be told at a later date! :)
I'm going to enter a pretty brilliant competition to get old buildings artified ie an old building will be a blank canvas and whoevers design wins, will be commissioned to have their piece put up!
I'm starting an art portfolio prep course on Tuesday since I've decided to try and get into art college! I can't wait to be honest because I know I'll love it!
I'm getting involved in a programme called 'Peer 4 Peer' which is us older teenagers talking to primary school kids about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse. I think it's gonna be a great experience for all of us doing it and maybe we can make a small difference in the world!
Sounds pretty good right?! This is a really good year so far and I thinks it's getting even better thanks to this blog and all you great readers!! :)
On that note I think I'll leave you with two videos;
Remembering Sunday by All Time Low and
For The First Time (a song by the Script) performed by Scale 3 (my boyfriend is the amazing drummer!)
Enjoy the rest of the weekend! Kate.

More music, what else?

Dreamer is so soft, always loved that song!
Anyone read or watch Heartland? This is the opening song! Can't help but love it!
And the video feels so vintage, adorable! :)
I'll be in the sky, love the lyrics! And so catchy!
Have to mention that i saw B.O.B live in Dublin, at the very last Paramore as we know it concert...
I cried when Josh and Zac said they were leaving, guess that's what you get (when you let your heart win)
I know, hardly funny but if your a Paramore fan you get it right? (anyone who isn't, it's a song!)
Enjoy anyway, I'm looking forward to my next post!
Til then, Kate.

Love...

Go after her. Fuck, don't sit there and wait for her to call,
Go after her because that's what you should do.
If you love someone, don't wait for them to give you a sign
Cause it may never come, don't let people happen to you,
Don't let me happen to you, or her,
She's not a fucking television show or tornado.
There are people I might have loved
Had they gotten on the airplane or run down the street
After me or called me up drunk at four in the morning
Because they need to tell me right now and because
They cannot regret this and I always thought I'd be the only
One doing crazy things for people who would never give
Enough of a fuck to do it back or to act like idiots
Or be entirely vulnerable and honest and making someone
Fall in love with you is easy and flying 3000 miles
On four days notice because you can't just sit there
And do nothing and breathe into telephones is not
Everyone's idea of love but it is the way
I can recognise it because that is what I do.
Go scream it and be with her in meaningful ways
Because that is beautiful and that is generous
And that is what loving someone is,
That is raw and unguarded and that is all
That is worth anything, Really.

The Little Things.

Don't you just love the little things in life?
The things that make you smile,
Like how it starts snowing  just as you step outside,
Like hugging someone warm,
Like smelling cut grass,
Like buying your favourite soda.
Because in a world like this,
In times like these,
We need the little things,
Because we have to smile,
And there's no way we'll survive otherwise.
What makes you smile?
Even thinking about it,
Hold onto it and don't let go,
Because it's important to be happy.

Realisation

I can see them breathing,
Chest slowly rising,
Then falling,
They can't feel a thing.
And they're lucky,
'Cause it looks painful.
It seems calm in the room.
Until the creature stops breathing.
Quick!
Please.
Do.
Anything.
We're lucky this time.
Their little body spasms with adrenalin.
They breathe again.
Thank you.
I can feel tears in my eyes,
But I bite them back.
My legs shake and my arms feel heavy,
I don't faint,
But my dreams are crushed;
I'm not cut out for this.

Something I Found

"Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic.
Authenticity is invaluable; originality is non-existent.
And don't bother concealing your thievery, celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said;
"It's not where you take things from_ it's where you take them to."
